George Best: All By Himself (BBC1, 8.30pm)

The premiere of the documentary which tells the story of the iconic Belfast footballer George Best. Dubbed ‘El Beatle’, Best helped Manchester United win two league titles and the European Cup. However, like many football players he was blighted by the pressures of fame which led to alcoholism and ultimately his death at age 59.

May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10 (Channel 4, 8.30pm) 

Jeremy Paxman interviews Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn individually (as May is not up for debates). Afterwards members of a studio audience get to put questions directly to the leaders.

Food Unwrapped (Channel 4, 8pm)

Kate Quilton heads to the states to investigate alternatives to dairy products at one of California’s leading producers of almond milk. After this, she meets a scientist who has been raising genetically engineered goats whose milk he hopes could some day save half a million lives per year.

Everybody’s talking about… Ruth Negga on Season 2 of ‘Preacher’

After season one was such a hit, AMC renewed the show for a second series and now they’ve finally released photos previewing Ruth Negga in the second series of Preacher. While the locations and situations previewed in the images are vague, we get a brief taste of what Jesse Custer is getting up to with his vampire best friend and volatile lover.

Britain’s Got Talent (TV3, 7.30pm) It’s time for the annual week of semi-finals for Britain’s Got Talent which means that the show will be live every evening this week until the winner is announced in the grand final on Sunday.

All The Way (Sky Atlantic, 10:40pm) Bryan Cranston plays Lyndon B. Johnson as he endures a tumultuous first year in office while trying to launch a civil rights bill.

The Fifteen Billion Pound Railway (BBC2, 9pm) The final episode of the series following men and women racing to build London’s new underground railway – the Elizabeth Line in time for it’s launch this month.

Great British Menu (BBC2, 7.30pm) Tonight’s show features the Scottish regional heats where top chefs battle for a place in the national finals, where the winner will get to cook for a banquet celebrating 140 years of the Wimbledon Championships.

The Genealogy Roadshow (RTÉ2m 7pm) The team of experts travel to Derry to help people trace their family roots and uncover surprising stories from the past.
